The following incidents were obtained from Franklin County Sheriff Don Jones. Note that arrests, charges and citations are allegations only, not findings of guilt.

May 1
• Deputies arrested Michelle Palmer, 33, of Johnston City on a warrant for failure to appear on traffic charges.

May 8
• Deputies arrested Joshua B. Steely, 32, of Mulkeytown on a warrant for failure to appear for burglary.
• Deputies arrested Kayin C. Jeter, 18, of Herrin on a warrant for failure to appear for theft.
• Deputies arrested Jacob R. Diefenbach, 30, of Pittsburg on a warrant for delivery of methamphetamine.

May 10
• Deputies arrested Tara L. Motsinger, 58, of Mulkeytown on a warrant for failure to appear for aggravated assault.

May 11
• Deputies arrested Aspin M. Walta, 22, of O'Fallon on a warrant for violation of probation.

May 17
• Deputies arrested Jessica K. Evans, 20, of Marion on a warrant for unlawful delivery of methamphetamine.

May 18
• Deputies responded at 12:59 p.m. to a single-vehicle traffic crash on Mine 25 Road just west of Logan Road. The investigation concluded that a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Larry W. Carter, 53, of Thompsonville was westbound and lost control, traveling off the north side of the road and going into a ditch. The driver suffered undetermined injuries and was transported to a local hospital by West Frankfort EMS.

May 19
• Deputies responded at 10:08 a.m. to a single-vehicle traffic crash on Lincoln Road near Grammer Hill Road. The investigation concluded that a 2015 Honda CBR driven by Eric M. Young, 21, of Christopher was northbound when he lost control of his motorcycle and went into a ditch. The driver was wearing a helmet but suffered major injuries. He was transported to a local hospital by Abbott EMS. Sesser Fire first responders also responded to the scene.

May 20
• Deputies responded at 10:39 a.m. to a disturbance at a residence in Macedonia. The investigation led to the arrest of Terry L. Norris, 56, of Benton on charges of criminal trespass, criminal damage to property and obstructing a peace officer.
• Deputies responded at 1:46 p.m. to a domestic dispute in rural Benton. The investigation led to the arrest of Nicolas R.J. Korolenko, 24, of West Frankfort on a charge of domestic battery.
• Deputies arrested Jaryan D. Brock-Brantley, 29, of Marion on a warrant to revoke probation.
• Deputies arrested Tony W. Fricke, 49, of Campbell Hill on a warrant for failure to appear for possession of methamphetamine.

May 21
• Deputies responded at 4:29 a.m. to a domestic dispute in Coello. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Kendra L. Key, 47, of Coello on a charge of domestic battery.
• Deputies responded at 8:28 a.m. to a two-vehicle traffic crash on East Main and Goldheimer streets in Benton. The investigatioon concluded that a 2010 Hyundai Sonata driven by Linda L. Joplin, 70, of Benton was eastbound on Main Street when a 2003 Ford Escort driven by Donna L. Berendt, 52, of Benton, failed to stop at the stop sign, pulling out onto East Main Street and into the path of the Hyundai. Both drivers sustained major injuries and were transported to a local hospital by Abbott EMS. Berendt was ticketed for disobeying a stop sign, failure to reduce speed to avoid a traffic crash and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
• Deputies arrested John A.B. Sutton, 29, of Christopher on a warrant for failure to appear for theft.
• Deputies arrested Donald L. Singleton, 41, of Logan on a warrant for failure to appear for criminal trespass to property.

May 22
• Deputies responded at 11:54 a.m. to a hit-and-run crash that occurred on Rt. 37 south of Yellow Banks Road. The investigation concluded that a 2012 Nissan Altima driven by Van E. Quick, 63, of Benton was southbound on Rt. 37 when a northbound 2008 Mini-Cooper driven by Steven A. Burberry, 62, of Benton crossed into the southbound lane, sideswiping the Nissan. The Mini-Cooper continued northbound and was stopped by responding deputies on West Main Street in Benton. There were no injuries, and Burberry was arrested on charges of leaving the scene of a property damage crash and driving under the influence of alcohol.
• Deputies arrested Christopher K. Martin, 21, of Zeigler on a warrant for failure to appear for possession of methamphetamine.
• Deputies arrested Samuel L. Lusby, 60, of Woodlawn on a warrant for failure to appear for theft.

May 23
• Deputies responded at 6:47 p.m. to a domestic dispute in rural Mulkeytown. The investigation led to the arrest of Seth A. Phillips, 27, of Mulkeytown on a charge of domestic battery.

May 24
• Deputies responded at 8:49 a.m. to a single-vehicle traffic crash on Coal Street in Freeman Spur. The investigation concluded that a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Stephen T. Vaughn, 25, of Freeman Spur swerved to miss a dog, ran off the roadway and struck a tree. There were no injuries, and the driver was arrested on a charge of driving while license suspended.
• Deputies arrested Daniel R. Wallace Jr., 38, of West Frankfort on charges of residential burglary and felony theft. The burglary had been reported May 21 from a residence in rural Benton. The investigation first led to a residence in Coello, where some of the stolen items were recovered and some other items were recovered from the suspect's pick-up truck. Wallace was arrested at a residence in Benton. He is being held in the county jail without bond pending review by the State's Attorney's Office and the setting of bond by the circuit court.
• Deputies arrested Matthew J. Harris, 40, of Mulkeytown on a warrant for failure to appear for possession of cannabis.

May 25
• Deputies arrested Ronelle Kondoudis, 47, of Florida on a warrant for failure to appear for possession of a controlled substance.
