The following information was obtained from the Du Quoin Police Department. Note that arrests and charges are allegations only, not findings of guilt.

Monday, April 30
7:27 p.m., John Cooper, 54, of Du Quoin, was transported to the Perry County Jail on charges of DUI, driving while license revoked-enhanced and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Wednesday, May 2
1:59 p.m., A non-injury accident occurred at the Washington Street and Gas Plant Road intersection. Jeanette Cross, 47, of Du Quoin, was driving a 2008 Mercury Sable. She stopped on Gas Plant Road at the intersection. She then began to cross South Washington traveling east and failed to see a second motorist - William Snyder, 77, of Pinckneyville, who was traveling north on South Washington in his 2010 Chevroley Equinox. Cross's vehicle struck Snyder's in the rear driver's side door. Cross was cited in the accident. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.
3:02 p.m., Autumn Lowe, 25, of Du Quoin, charged and cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
