Two Franklin County residents face charges related to methamphetamine after deputies initially responded to a domestic dispute.
Franklin County Sheriff Don Jones says deputies initially were called to a home in rural Benton March 26 in reference to a domestic dispute, although ultimately no criminal charges were filed as a result of that call.
However, deputies discovered evidence of methamphetamine production and obtained a search warrant. Arrest warrants were issued for Scott W. Wiggins, 36, of Thompsonville and Alyssa S. Bonstell, 20, of Benton. Both were arrested April 7 and booked into the Franklin County Jail.
Bonstell has been charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond has been set at $20,000 or 10 percent.
Wiggins has been charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials and possession of firearm ammunition by a convicted felon. His bond has been set at $75,000 or 10 percent.
