The following incidents were obtained from the Benton Police Department. Note that arrests, charges and citations are allegations only, not findings of guilt.

April 10
• Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 1200 block of North Main Street. Upon investigating and a subsequent search of the vehicle, police arrested Brandon M. Rasch, 28, of Centralia on a charge of possession of a firearm without a valid FOID card. Rasch was transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.

April 11
• Police were dispatched at about 3:20 p.m. to the 1400 Block of South Pope Street for a fight in progress. Upon investigating, officers arrested 20-year-old Tabitha E. Hall of Benton on a charge of battery. Hall was transported to the Franklin County Jail.

April 12
• Police arrested Carolyn J, McClintock, 71, of Benton at about 11 a.m. on an active Franklin County warrant for cruelty to an animal. McClintock was transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.

April 14
• Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of East Webster Street in reference to a hit and run. Upon investigating, police arrested Carl G. Gunter, 41, of West Frankfort on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident. Gunter was transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.

April 15
• Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of North Maple Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon investigating, police arrested Zachary A. Wilson, 25, and Dakota W. Wilson, 19, both of Benton, on charges of domestic battery. Both were transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.
