A Carbondale man faces multiple charges after allegedly attempted to break into a residence on South Rawlings Street last week.
Carbondale Police say they arrested Dewayne Perrian, 26, after responding around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1 to a report of a suspect attempting to force entry into a residence in the 500 block of South Rawlings.
As officers arrived, they located the suspect as he was fleeing on foot from the residence. After a short foot pursuit, they apprehended Perrian and arrested him for attempted residential burglary. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail.
Perrian is due in Jackson County Circuit Court March 27 for a preliminary hearing on charges of criminal trespass and resisting an officer.
