HARRISBURG -- Fourth-grader Hadley Hunt will represent Harrisburg in the Tri-State Spelling Bee in Evansville, Ind. after winning preliminary spelling bees in January.
On Jan. 11, Hunt became the East Side Intermediate Spelling Bee champion. Prior to that contest, grade school level spelling bees were held on Jan. 4. Winners and runners-up from each grade level competed in the school contest.
This is Hunt's second year in a row winning the East Side overall contest, having won in 2017 while a third-grader. She is the daughter of Ryne and Blaire Hunt.
