ELDORADO -- Eldorado Rotary guest John Okerson spoke Tuesday at Dad's Bar-B-Q in Eldorado, sharing information about Team Red, White & Blue.
Team RWB's mission is to enrich the lives of America's veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity, according to Okerson.
The organization accomplishes this through two core programs, its Chapters and Community program, which focuses on engagement with the community, and the Eagle Leadership Development Program.
Okerson, a retired Army paratrooper who saw combat in Afghanistan and Iraq following the U.S. response to 9/11, is the southern Illinois region's charter captain.
