Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School Speech Team competed in the regional championship last weekend at Carbondale Community High School.
The team members are Desirae Jones (Special Occasion Speaking), Kyle Bristow (Humorous Interpretation), Kale Rister (Humorous Duet Acting), Billy Lewis (Humorous Duet Acting) and Alex Peebels (Oratorical Declamation).
Carla Kirkland is the coach.
Bristow, a sophomore, finished in sixth place in Humorous Interpretation. Lewis, a senior, and Rister, a junior, finished in second place in Humorous Duet Acting and will advance to sectionals in Belleville on Saturday, Feb. 10.
