Saline County Sheriff's Department arrests 2 on drug charges

HARRISBURG -- Saline County sheriff's deputies arrested two Harrisburg men on drug related charges Friday afternoon, according to a news release from Saline County Chief Deputy Ken Clore.

That afternoon, Saline County deputies Logan Leverett and Chuck Welge made a traffic stop in the strip mall near Wal-Mart before 5 p.m.

The driver, Brandon M. Taylor, 30, of Harrisburg, was charged with driving while license suspended/revoked. The deputies investigated further, discovering a bag containing additional bags of cannabis and cocaine.

Taylor also was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis and manufacture with intent to deliver cannabis.

His passenger, Aaron L. Hodge, 24, of Harrisburg, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis and manufacture with intent to deliver cannabis.

Both men were taken to the Saline County Detention Center. Hodge posted $1,500 bond. Taylor also posted $1,500 bond.

About 17 grams of cannabis and 4 grams of cocaine were seized in the arrest.
