The following incidents were obtained from the Benton Police Department. Note that arrests, charges and citations are allegations only, not findings of guilt.
August 11
Police arrested Theodore Long, 58, of Benton on an active warrant for violation of probation. Long was transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.
August 12
Police were dispatched to 1642 N. Main St. in reference to a retail theft. Through investigation, police arrested Danielle M. McCain, 30, of Benton on a charge of retail theft. McCain was transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.
Police conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of North Buchanan Street. Through investigation, police arrested Bryan F. Parks, 36, of Braidwood on a charge of driving while license revoked. Parks was transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.
