HARRISBURG -- A Harrisburg woman was charged with with aggravated domestic battery Wednesday, as police say she threw a lamp into the head of a man, causing him severe injury.
Jessica Vailes, 26, of 1036 S. Ledford St., was charged with aggravated domestic battery at 8 a.m. Wednesday by the Saline County Sheriff's Department.
According to Police Chief David Morris, the man lost a significant amount of blood after being struck in the head by the lamp, and was transported by Air Evac to an out-of-state hospital. Morris said he learned Thursday the man had been released from the hospital in good condition.
Vailes remains in Saline County Jail on $750 bond.
