Seven Du Quoin photographers have contributed 13 photographs to the Du Quoin Public Library's exhibit wall space dedicated to original photography works.
The sports-themed photographs for the current display on the wall at the library were revealed at a reception held Monday at the library.
Featured photographers include Austin Booker, Gary Brock, Jean Ellen Bullock, Betty Eastman, Jon Montgomery, Rebecca Hagerling and Pat Purnell.
Included in the display are photographs related to roping, softball, fishing, boys' basketball, football, boating in Ansthruther, Scotland, the Du Quoin High School Indianettes dance team, a St. Louis Cardinals baseball player during a game at Cincinnati, a golfer at the Old Course Hotel greens in St. Andrews, Scotland, and the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps from Lebanon, Ind.
Du Quoin Public Library staff members Kristina Benson, Barbara Croessman and Elizabeth Wall and the members of the Du Quoin Public Library Board of Trustees -- Joy Upton, Sarah Doerner, Jacob Emling, Leanna Leek, Gail Durkota, Carol Downs, Betty Eastman, Joyce Calvert and Larry Underwood -- extend an invitation to the public to visit the library to see the talents of local photographers.
