The Du Quoin Public Library continues to seek local photographers wanting to make use of the library's exhibit space to display original works.

The library's photography program will feature "sports" as its upcoming theme, and photographers may submit sports-themed photographs through July 10. The photographs submitted will be displayed on the "Photograph Wall" at the library.

The library will host a reception for the exhibit at 6 p.m. Monday, July 10.

Photographs can be people posed or photos that display action. Possible sports to highlight include baseball, football, car racing, wrestling, bicycling, water sports, gymnastics, tennis, horse racing, golf or fishing.

Interested photographers who have not already completed an exhibit application form should do so at the library in order to enter a submission. Interested photographers may contact library staff members Kristina Benson or Barbara Croessman at the library or Betty Eastman, library board trustee, for further information.
