The following incidents were obtained from Franklin County Sheriff Don Jones. Note that arrests, charges and citations are allegations only, not findings of guilt.

June 1
Deputies arrested Christopher W. Lowery, 37, of McLeansboro for failure to appear on traffic charges.

June 7
Deputies arrested Robert J. Anderson, 54, of West Frankforton a charge of being present in a public park as a convicted sexual predator. The arrest was the result of an investigation into an incident that occurred May 27 at Rend Lake.

June 8
Deputies responded at 1:07 a.m. to a two-vehicle traffic crash on Izaac Walton Road near Valier. The investigation revealed that a 2016 Jeep Wrangler driven by Rickey G. Kondoudis, 41, of Buckner was eastbound when it rear-ended another eastbound vehicle traveling over a set of railroad tracks. The vehicle was a 2012 Toyota Prius driven by Patricia K. Stonikas, 58, of Valier. Stonikas sustained minor
injuries but refused medical treatment. Kondoudis was not injured, but was arrested for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving under the influence.
Deputies responded at 6:54 p.m. to a domestic dispute in rural Ewing that resulted in the arrest of Johnnie E. Friar, 51, of Ina on a charge of aggravated assault.

June 9
Deputies made an arrest in connection with the May 16 burglary of S.I. Shooter Supply in rural West Frankfort. A 17-year-old male juvenile from West Frankfort has been charged with burglary. The juvenile is being held in the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are possible.
Deputies took a complaint at 5:11 p.m. regarding the alleged violation of an order of protection. The investigation led to charges of unlawful violation of an order of protection being filed against Kevin M. Dillon, 27, of Benton.

June 10
A traffic stop at 10:24 a.m. in Benton led to the arrest of Merry M. Sinks, 53, of Pittsburg on a charge of driving on a suspended license.
Deputies arrested Anthony J. Willis, 49, of Centralia for failure to appear on traffic charges.

June 11
An investigation at 12:07 a.m. into an illegally parked vehicle near Rend Lake led to the arrest of Kelsey A. Bate, 23, of Valier on a charge of DUI.
A traffic stop at 1:54 a.m. near Rend Lake led to the arrest of William G. Murry, 48, of Scheller on a charge of DUI.
Deputies responded at 7:47 a.m. to a single-vehicle traffic crash in rural Sesser. A 2008 Dodge Avenger driven by Ethan L. Bowlin, 39, of Sesser was southbound when it traveled off the roadway and struck an embankment. Bowlin was the sole occupant and was initially transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was charged with driving under the influence, driving while license revoked, operating an uninsured motor vehicle,
illegal transportation of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

June 12
Deputies arrested Terry L. Griffin, 37, of Salem for failure to appear on a DUI charge.
Deputies arrested Mikalean H.D. Barr, 23, of Carbondale on a charge of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance.
Deputies arrested Andrew C. Roberson, 28, of West Frankfort for failure to appear on traffic charges.

June 13
Deputies responded at 9:32 a.m. to a minor traffic crash in Thompsonville that led to charges of driving while license revoked against Roy D. Powell, 68, of Thompsonville.
Deputies arrested Aaron A. Hargett, 18, of Benton for failure to appear on traffic charges.

June 14
Deputies arrested Brittani S. Anderson, 30, of Herrin for failure to appear on traffic charges.

June 15
Deputies responded at 2:24 a.m. to a domestic dispute in rural Benton that resulted in the arrest of Casey A. Lampley, 36, of Benton on a charge of theft.
Deputies responded at 3:03 a.m. to a single-vehicle crash on Rt. 14 just west of Rend City Road. The investigation revealed that a 2001 Chevrolet pickup driven by Michael A. Diuguid, 21, of Zeigler was westbound on Rt. 14 when he lost control, ran off the roadway and overturned prior to striking a tree. Diuguid was the sole occupant of the vehicle and sustained major injuries. He was transported to a St. Louis-area hospital. The investigation is ongoing, and alcohol is believed to have been a factor. Several area fire departments assisted at the scene along with
Abbott EMS.
Deputies responded at 12:38 p.m. to a battery complaint that had occurred the previous day at a residence in Whittington. The investigation led to the arrest of David L. Woods, 37, of Whittington on a charge of aggravated battery.
