Benton Rehabilitation and Healthcare will be holding a yard sale in conjunction with the city-wide sales this weekend, but not for pocket change.
The profits from the BHR sale will go to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Founded by Danny Thomas, the hospital treats a variety of childhood illnesses. Families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food. The hospital relies on donations from across America.
"We try to do several different things each year to raise money for St. Jude's," said Amanda Roberts, the social service director for the Benton facility, which houses around 30 residents and provides jobs for around 25 to 30 staff members.
Roberts said staff also is working on repeating a chili luncheon fundraiser in the fall.
"We hope to raise $1,000," she said. "That is our goal."
The yard sale will follow the time table of the city-wide sale. The facility is located at 1409 N. Main St. in Benton.
