Crappie Masters tournament is Saturday

The third Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters national qualifier tournament will take place this Saturday on Rend Lake. The event featured 66 boats last year, and Crappie Masters president Mike Valentine has said he would like to grow it to 78 competitive teams. Weigh-in is on Saturday after 3 p.m. Kids can compete in a casting contest during the day with registration starting at 8 a.m. at Lake Zone Bait and Tackle, which is also the weigh-in and awards site.
