Outdoor Safety Day considered a success

While many areas of Southern Illinois were responding to flood emergencies and evacuations, Saturday's wet weather didn't dampen the first-ever Outdoor Safety Day hosted by Franklin Hospital. Several exhibits provided printed materials and simulators to educate the public on topics such as pool and water safety, stroke awareness, disaster information and garden safety.
