Du Quoin Garden Club attends annual meeting

The Du Quoin Garden Club recently attended the Garden Clubs of Illinois District VII annual spring meeting hosted by the Anna-Jo Garden Club of Anna. 
A 'Summer Fun' flower design program was presented by floral designer Pete Housman to kick off the planning of the District VII Flower Show to be held in July in Marion. Awards were presented to each of the clubs in attendance. The Du Quoin club received three awards: first place, publicity press book; Blue Rosette and certificate, Club Achievement Award; and Silver Seal on Certificate, Club Horticulture Award.
