Benton Farmers Market seeking vendors

An informational meeting regarding the 2017 Benton Farmers Market is being planned for 5 p.m. Thursday, March 30 at the Franklin County Extension Office.
The market is slated to run from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursdays from May 4 to Oct. 26 at the Benton City Park.
Applications are now available for vendor spaces. More information can be found on the Benton Farmers Market's Facebook page.
Market organizers this year are being encouraged to accept LINK cards at the market this year. Vendors are being encouraged to attend Thursday's meeting to learn more about the SNAP program and share opinions on accepting the LINK cards.
The cards could be used for anything at the market that would normally be sold in that way at the grocery store including meats, vegetables, fruits, baked goods and breads.
