Relay for Life holds quarter auction

Lowanda Johnston and her daughter, Kim Scott of Sesser, had a special reason for attending Saturday's Quarter Auction at the Benton Elks. 'My dad died from lung cancer seven years ago,' Scott said. The pair is involved in raising money for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in the Sesser area. More than a dozen vendors gathered for the event, including Sarah Nelson (right), an independent consultant for Tastefully Simple.
