Rangers season ends with heartbreaking loss at home

The Benton Rangers (31-3) finished their memorable season Friday night after suffering a 56-47 loss to the Centralia Orphans in the sectional championship game hosted in the Rich Herrin Gymnasium.

The Rangers finished their season as champions of the Goreville Invitational, Champions of the Benton Invitational Tournament, and as IHSA Class 3A Regional Champions.

Centralia continues on to the IHSA Springfield Super=Sectional Tuesday night.
