WEST FRANKFORT -- John Rex Young, 69, died at 8:35 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, in Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort with Pastor Jason Todd officiating. Burial will be in Mulkeytown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He was born April 5, 1947, in Mattoon to Walter Jr. and Edna (Rexroat) Young.
Mr. Young was a route salesman for Dolly Madison for 33 years. He also was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Angie Young of West Frankfort; son, Aaron (Lesley) Young of Christopher; daughter, Grace (John) Legel of Villa Park; brother, David (Teresa) Young of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren, Ethan, Keller and Rowan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In place of monetary donations, the family requests that donors plant trees in memory of Rex.
