The Benton Rangers, coached by Ron Winemiller, battled it out for over 40 minutes before finally pulling ahead in a draining double overtime victory of the Carlyle Indians. Benton's top scorer in the game was Derek Oxford who accounted for 17 points, while the Timmy Henson added 12.
In the first game of the B.I.T Meridian Bobcats (12-8) trounced the Hamilton County Foxes (1-15), 56-40. The Bobcats' top scorer was Daniel Valentine with 19, while the Foxes' leading scorer was Jake Whipple with 14.
In an even bigger blowout earlier in the night the Pinckneyville Panthers (13-5) moved to 1-0 in the tournament with a 68-26 victory over the Sesser Red-Devils (8-8).
