Three nights of live entertainment will highlight the fifth annual Christopher Homecoming, set for Friday through Sunday, Aug. 15 through 17.
Most of the action will take place at Bill Dennison Memorial Park, located on Route 14 West (across from the Rea Clinic).
A variety show kicks off the event at 6:30 p.m. Friday, followed by an 8 p.m. performance by Brad Cotter, the 2004 “Nashville Star” winner.
Cotter’s debut single, “I Meant To,” comes from his debut album, “Patient Man.”
Carnival rides also will be among each day’s activities; a bocce tournament will be included Friday and Saturday.
A full day of activity is set for Saturday, beginning with a pancake breakfast from 7 to 10:30 a.m. at the Christopher Civic Center.
Also scheduled that morning are a 5K Run/Walk race at 8 o’clock, the Kids Fun Run at 9:30 and a Bicycle Rodeo at 10:15.
A car show and a BBQ cook-off will take place Saturday, with awards and judging slated for 2 p.m. for the respective events.
From 1 to 4 p.m., the Christopher High School All-Classes Reunion will be going on at the civic center. The Globe Theater Reunion for employees and friends is set for 4:15 to 6 p.m. at the Hampton Building on South Mulkey Street.
The evening’s entertainment includes Rog ’n’ Bob, a flag retirement ceremony at 6 p.m. and Four on the Floor at 7 p.m. at the park.
On Sunday, an ice cream social from 2 to 6 p.m. starts off the day. Christian Music Night, beginning at 5 p.m., features Andrew Carlton of Nashville, Tenn.
Carlton is a songwriter and the performer of such national hits as “Jesus Hold Me, Hold Me Up” and the new single, “I’ll Be the Start.”
Jared Mitchell, Exalting Him 2006 National Talent Search finalist, also will be performing, as will local talent.
A washer tournament also will be going on.
