Sassy is my name! I am a 2½-year-old black female Labrador. I am just the right size at 44 pounds and would love to make your home complete! I am a very calm dog when I am the only pet in the house.

I need a strong pack leader to let me know who the boss is. I guess you could say I'm just perfect.

I do have a flea allergy, but who doesn't? Those critters are nasty! My allergy is totally under control as long as I am given my flea preventive ... so, no worries!

I was adopted but my family was unable to keep me. My friends at PCHS welcomed me back and are going to help me find a new family. I am sad to say goodbye to my folks, but life goes on and I have to search for a new life. They are going to help me find the perfect folks to make the rest of my life here on Earth just as I deserve, a dream!

Sassy is considered good in a home with children and cats, but prefers to be the only dog. She is house-trained, vaccinated and spayed. Her adoption fee is $175.

Please know that if you come to meet any of the dogs at our facility, they may be excited to see you and extra active. Many times, this is not a true picture of how they may act in a warm, safe home setting. We, as volunteers, often take our shelter dogs on home visits and they become calm and act like completely different animals. This pertains to potty habits and demeanor. Please realize that they need a chance to shine out of the shelter setting!

If you have specific questions about Sassy, email the shelter volunteer at pchsinfo@yahoo.com or go to www.perrycountyhumanesocietyil.com to apply.
