Here are the results of the recent 4-H Swine Show:
The Saline County 4-H Swine Show was held on July 25 at the Sam Stafford Building on the Saline County Fairgrounds. 4-H Swine exhibitors showed off their animals to judge Tim Quiggins. Thank you to Samantha Parish for serving as superintendent for the swine show.
Grand Champion and Reserve Champion Purebred Breeding Swine honors went to Kate Bond. Karson Baird earned the Grand Champion Crossbred Breeding Swine ribbon.
The Overall Breeding Champion banner and plaque went to Karson Baird, with Kate Bond receiving the Reserve Champion banner. Thank you to Saline County Farm Bureau for sponsoring the banners for all of our Overall Champions this year.
Kate Bond received the Grand Champion Purebred Market Swine ribbon and Cayden Baird earned the Reserve Champion Purebred Market Swine ribbon. The Grand Champion Crossbred Market Swine honors went to Joel Glenn, with Karson Baird receiving a Reserve Champion ribbon in this category.
The Overall Market Swine awards went to Joel Glenn as Champion and to Kate Bond as Reserve Champion. In addition to the banners, the Overall Champions received a plaque designed by Tim Arnold.
Champion Bred and Owned Breeding Swine, sponsored by Anderson Crop Insurance -- Phil and Karen Anderson, went to Kate Bond. Reserve Champion Bred and Owned Breeding Swine, sponsored by Ron and Carla Bradley, went to Tyler Anderson. In addition, Kate Bond and Tyler Anderson earned Champion and Reserve Champion Bred and Owned Market Swine, respectively. These awards were sponsored by C & B Cattle Company. Congratulations to all of our Swine exhibitors.
Grand Champion Senior Showmanship honors went to Joel Glenn, and Taylor Hale took home the ribbon for Reserve Champion Senior Showmanship. Intermediate Showmanship Grand Champion was Kate Bond, with Ali Joyner taking home a Reserve Champion ribbon in that category. Junior Showmanship Grand Champion was Karson Baird, and Junior Showmanship Reserve Champion was Cayden Baird.
