Pinckneyville pastors celebrate National Day of Prayer

Pastors and church members from the Pinckneyville area gathered for prayer in the Perry County Courthouse last Thursday. Pastors included George Culley -- Least of the Brethren, Jeff Downard -- Winkle Baptist Church, Eric Drake -- Nine Mile Baptist Church, Lee Valerius -- Roe's Dale Baptist Church, Keith Tyler -- Trinity Assembly of God Church, and Marty DeRoche -- Denmark Baptist Church. The theme of Unity for the National Day of Prayer was emphasized in the prayers for local, state and national governmental leaders, schools and area communities.
