DU QUOIN - Chevrolet Buick dealership owner, Chip Banks, is inviting all area Golden Doodles and their two-legged friends to participate in the making of a commercial on Wednesday.

"Doodles" are a popular Retriever/Poodle mix, and Banks is proud to include his own "good dogs" in the project. He is confident that other Doodle lovers will also appreciate an opportunity to give their pampered pets the star treatment.

The dealership is eager to shed its current inventory and welcome the arrival of spring models. The new Chevy Silverado pick-up truck is currently on display.

The event promises to be a special treat for all, and the television ad should be completed in a short amount of time.

"We'll be inside the showroom, running around, and we'll shoot a commercial. It will probably take a half an hour to film," said Banks.

They will be shooting the canine spot from 3-4 p.m. Local Doodles and their human companions are encouraged to come and join in the fun.

The business is located at 1116 S. Washington St. in Du Quoin.

Saint Francis Animal Hospital workers have seen an uptick in the number of Golden Doodle owners in Du Quoin. Staff spokesperson, Savannah, says they are becoming a very popular dog.

"They are very friendly, and some owners say they seem to be more hypoallergenic," she added.
