The Illinois state AFSCME retirees broke last year's record for number of cans of food collected by members throughout the last six months. Half were donated to the Chester Area Christian Food Pantry and half to the Baldwin Lutheran Church Food Pantry. Larry Brown has pledged to cook a grilled meal for the membership as a reward for their unselfish giving during the holidays.
