  1. What makes this student stand out?

Savannah: Justine Pankey is a senior and has been a student of mine for the past years. Justine is a problem-solver and known for her diligence, drive and work ethic. She was recently awarded the STEM scholarship at John A. Logan College. Justine hasn't just been active in the classroom, but in other school activities as well. She currently serves as a member of Agape Christian's Student Government, where she helps plan and organize athletic events. She also has participated in Agape Christian's girls softball, and particularly girls volleyball, which is one of her passions. Justine has been a joy to teach. She balances her fun-loving personality with a commendable inward drive that comes from her alone. I believe she is an example to her fellow seniors and the rest of the student body.

  1. This year, what's the best part about high school?

Justine: I really enjoy my sports, especially volleyball. Academically, I enjoy the dual enrollment program at John A. Logan. I get to go to college for free in the honors program. By the time my senior year ends, I'll have 19 college credits.

  1. What are you passionate about right now?

Justine: I'm really passionate about volleyball. It's been part of my life since fifth grade.

  1. What are you thinking of doing after high school? Why does this appeal to you?

Justine: I want to go into sports medicine. Being an athlete myself, I really want to go into a medical field and help athletes as well. I'm going to John A. Logan for an associate's degree in biological sciences and then transfer to a four-year university.

  1. Who should play you if the story of your life is filmed?

Justine: Zendaya Coleman.

  1. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Justine: Hopefully working for a college or professional team and helping athletes there. Maybe having a family.
