Laminated pages from the "Mother Bruce" children's picture book series are set up at outdoor stations, starting at 8th and Board streets (across from Elverado Primary School) on the south side of Board Street. Follow the pages along Board Street until it crosses the street to the north side and continues to Rick Warren Library, 114 S. 4th St.

• Elks Club Boys All-Sports Banquet: 7-9 p.m., Du Quoin Elks Club on Shagbark Road. Recognizing the athletes from Du Quoin High School boys sports teams. Family and friends encouraged to attend. $10 (athletes free); includes a meal and the program. Keynote speaker: Former DHS All-State lineman and M.I.T. graduate Cody Edwards.
