Chester First Club welcomes three new businesses

Three recently-opened business were officially welcomed into Chester May 17 by the Chester First Club.

Ribbon cuttings were held at Salon Serenity, 1206 Swanwick St., Muddy River Coffee Shop, 106 W. Stacey St. and Golden Key Reality, 1205 Swanwick St.

Chamber members came out in force for the event.

Salon Serenity Salon opened April 3 and features complete hair cutting, color and styling, nail care and facials. Hours of business are Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday, 1 to 7 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Walk-ins are not encouraged. The phone number, in order to make appointments, is (618) 615-3161.

Muddy River Coffee Shop, opened Feb. 9. The owners are Jason and Jennifer Hittmeier King. In addition to all types of coffees and teas, Muddy River also serves all-organic smoothies and pastries from Schnickelfritz Bakery in Red Bud. Within a few days, Hittmeier King plans to add a variety of paninis to the menu.

Golden Key Reality, also with an office in Sparta, opened under the Golden Key name during April of this year and handles residential, commercial, agricultural and recreational properties.
