Ribbon cut at Christian bookstore

Members of the Du Quoin Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday morning at Down Here Christian Bookstore, located at 31 S. Division St. The store, owned by Kathie and Doug Ticer, specializes in an assortment of Christian-themed items, including bibles, books and CDs. The store opened in June 2016, but the owners waited until Ash Wednesday to hold their ribbon-cutting event.
