The Alliance Against Drug Abuse, a coalition of health and law enforcement, holds a forum on prescription drug and heroin abuse in Southern Illinois 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 5 at the Carrier Mills Municipal Building.
The forum is called “Our Community. Our Crisis. A Prescription Drug and Heroin Awareness Forum, Keeping Our Communities and Families Safe.”
Katie Martin of AADA and Egyptian Health Department said the forum is needed due to a rise in overdose deaths in Saline County in recent months.
Information will be provided by a panel of speakers. There will be community resources tables and a variety of individuals to answer questions.
Admission is free, there will be free refreshments, door prizes with CPDU and CEU credits offered.
