Three sentenced to IDOC

November saw three multiple-year sentencings of three locals to the Illinois Department of Corrections for a variety of charges, according to a release from Saline County State’s Attorney Mike Henshaw.

Judge Walden Morris on Nov. 24 sentenced Edward M. Hopkins to 18 years in the IDOC and two years mandatory supervised release for a residential burglary offense. Hopkins was also sentenced to three months in the Saline County Detention Center for criminal damage to property.

On Nov. 25 Morris sentenced Madison Cody Stefko to four years in IDOC and one year mandatory supervised release for methamphetamine possession, according to the release.

On Nov. 18 Judge Todd Lambert sentenced Casey A. Heflin to three years in IDOC and one year supervised release for criminal damage to government supported property, according to the release.
