Linda Carole Pleshe, nee Sweatt, 67, of Fairview Heights, born March 5, 1942 in St. Louis, Mo., died on Monday, Feb. 8, 2010 in Memorial Hospital in Belleville. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the nursing staff of the ICU and IMCU at Belleville Memorial for their exemplary compassion and care.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010 at Lake View Funeral Home in Fairview Heights. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11 in Lake View Funeral Home, with Pastor Doug White officiating. Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights.

Linda was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Her love for her pets, especially her retired racing greyhounds, was only surpassed by her extraordinary love for her family.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Jennah Mahmoud Mekky; her parents, Hugh J. & Rella, nee Parks, Sweatt; and two brother-in-laws, Don Horton and Tom Ziegler
Surviving are her loving husband of 44 years, Steve Pleshe of Fairview Heights; two daughters, Dana Pleshe of Kirkwood, Mo., and Debi (Mahmoud Mekky) Pleshe of Cairo, Egypt and one expected grandchild on the way; one brother Hugh J. (Margaret) Sweatt Jr., of Hernando, Miss.; and two sisters, Maxine Horton of Aurora, Mo., and Norma Ziegler of Blanchard, Idaho.
